Wade Hughes

As CEO, Wade is channeling his 27+ years of experience in Big 4 consulting and technology entrepreneurialism to accelerate 5Q’s growth as THE authority in real estate and alternative investment technology. Wade’s specific focus is listening to clients and the industry needs and ensuring 5Q continually evolves to deliver on those needs through exceptional client service. Wade is also working to leverage the partners’ core belief in “succeeding by serving” to develop technology best practices and benchmarks which will help the overall industry.


Tom Greer

Mr. Greer is a Founder and Partner of Fulcrum Equity Partners. He has over 20 years of investment, financial and operating experience. Mr. Greer was the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Regency Healthcare, Inc. (“Regency”) a provider of hospice services throughout the Southeast. In 2006 Mr. Greer recapitalized Regency with EDG Partners, an Atlanta based private equity firm. Mr. Greer then served as Chairman of the Board at the successor to Regency, Regency Healthcare Group, LLC, up until the sale of Regency to GTCR in April 2011.

Prior to founding Regency he was Vice President of Healthcare Investment Banking for Robinson Humphrey where he worked on mergers, acquisitions, private placements, and public offerings for healthcare and life science companies. Prior to Robinson Humphrey Mr. Greer was an executive in the Corporate Finance and Investment Banking Group at Eli Lilly & Company in Indianapolis, IN. He worked exclusively on structuring and negotiating licensing arrangements, joint ventures, acquisitions and investments with domestic and international biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Prior to Eli Lilly, he served as Director in KPMG’s Corporate Finance practice where he executed equity raises, debt placements, sell side and buy side transactions.

Mr. Greer has served on the boards of Implantable Provider Group, Marshall Emergency Services, Inc., and SunCrest Healthcare, Fulcrum portfolio companies that had successful exits. Currently he serves on the board of directors/managers of EnduraCare Acute Care Services, LLC, Regenesis Biomedical, Inc., Five Points Healthcare LLC, Medical Direct Club and Addiction Campuses LLC. Mr. Greer is also a board member of Special Olympics Georgia. Mr. Greer received his B.S. degree in Finance from Clemson University and his Masters of Business Administration degree from Wake Forest University.


David Kloess

David H. Kloess is a Partner in our Financial Reporting and Assurance department. David has over thirty years of experience serving the financial reporting, accounting and related advisory needs of both private and public companies. Prior to joining Bennett Thrasher in 2015, David was a partner with BDO USA, working in both the Atlanta and Washington, D.C. offices, and most recently was a partner and CEO with the Atlanta accounting firm, Windham Brannon.

David specializes in not only delivering service excellence through technical expertise, but also being a valued resource for business insights and advice. Throughout his career, he has helped clients navigate the challenges of every cycle of business, from start-up / raising capital to intense growth that may include acquisitive growth, merger and/or liquidity events, including IPOs. David also formally consults and provides advisory services for many businesses on matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, internal controls, talent assessment and strategic planning. David is highly experienced in many industries including manufacturing / distribution, technology, construction, restaurants / franchise and real estate.

David is a graduate from the University of Alabama earning a BS of Commerce and Business Administration in Accounting and serves on the Advisory Board of the Culverhouse School of Accountancy. David is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA).


Trey James

Trey James is the co-founder and CEO of Xcentric. He brings over 20 years of experience and a blend of executive, strategic, technical and operational roles, including successful roles with the regional firms, local firms and leading IT consultancies to the profession. Trey was selected as one of the “Top 100 Most Influential People” in the accounting industry for 2009 and 2010 by Accounting Today and as a “Top 40 under 40” honoree for 2006-2008 by The CPA Practice Advisor. Trey presents internationally on industry-related technology topics and is passionate both about learning and educating as it pertains to the future of the CPA profession. Trey graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, TX with a degree in Information Systems.
